Civil Engineering
Site development, earthworks, drainage and roadworks design, sized correctly the first time so approvals don't stall on resubmission.
Established 2008. Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur.
Cantilever Engineering provides civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering for construction, industrial and infrastructure projects, from feasibility through to final inspection.
Cantilever Engineering was founded in 2008 by a small group of structural and civil engineers who were tired of watching good designs get diluted by poor coordination. We built the practice around a simple idea: keep the disciplines that a project actually needs — civil, structural, mechanical, electrical — under one roof, working from the same model and the same schedule.
That structure still holds. Every project is led by a registered engineer who stays with it from the first site visit to the final inspection, and every calculation is checked by a second engineer before it leaves the office. It is a slower way to work than some clients expect. It is also why our designs hold up on site, not just on paper.
Seven disciplines, coordinated as one team. Engage us for a single scope or for the full engineering package on a project.
CE
Site development, earthworks, drainage and roadworks design, sized correctly the first time so approvals don't stall on resubmission.
SE
Structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges and industrial structures, carried through from concept to construction support on site.
ME
HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems sized for real operating loads, not just code minimums, and coordinated to avoid clashes.
EE
Power distribution, lighting and low-voltage systems designed with headroom for the load a building will actually carry in ten years.
IE
Process layout, materials handling and facility design work that gets measured in throughput, not just floor area.
PM
Budget, schedule and site coordination run by engineers who understand the drawings, not just the Gantt chart.
EC
Independent technical review, due diligence and second-opinion advisory work for owners, lenders and developers.
Most engineering failures aren't calculation errors. They're coordination failures — a duct that clashes with a beam, a load path nobody checked against the electrical riser. Running every discipline through one office, on one shared model, is how we catch those problems in the drawing set instead of on site.
Our engineers work across a common set of tools and hold themselves to international codes alongside local regulation, so a design produced here reads the same way to a contractor, an authority reviewer, or a lender's independent checker.
A sample of recent work across infrastructure, industrial and structural engineering. Full case studies are available on request.
Every design is led by a registered engineer with direct experience in that discipline, not a generalist spreading across seven fields.
A second, independent engineer checks every calculation and drawing before it leaves the office — standard on every project, not an add-on.
ISO 45001-certified safety management, applied to our own site visits as strictly as we ask contractors to apply it to theirs.
The engineer who scopes your project is the engineer who signs it off. Continuity is what keeps a schedule honest.
We adopt new tools and methods when they measurably improve a design outcome, not because they're new.
We meet on site or on your drawings, understand the constraints that actually matter, and scope only the work you need.
Feasibility, code review and a coordination plan across every discipline involved, agreed before design work starts.
Detailed design and calculation, checked independently at every stage, and issued for authority submission and tender.
Construction support, site inspection and shop-drawing review, so the design intent survives contact with the site.
As-built documentation, final inspection and sign-off, handed over in a form your operations team can actually use.
Tell us what you're building and we'll tell you honestly whether — and how — we can help.
